1. Information We Collect

Account information (name and email address) via our authentication provider, Clerk; your practice exam activity, answers, and readiness statistics; and billing status via our payment processor, Stripe. We never receive or store your full payment card number. If you choose to answer them, we also keep the optional questions we ask at sign-up (when your exam is) and at the end of your free trial (your reasons for subscribing or not), linked to your account and used only to improve the service.

2. How We Use Information

We use this information to operate your account, track your study progress, process subscription payments, and communicate with you about your account. We do not sell your personal information. Ratings you post are shown publicly once approved, and exam achievements (and any LinkedIn post link you add to one) as soon as you post them, with your name in the form you chose (such as "Jane D.", your full name, or anonymously).

From time to time we may email you an offer, such as a free-access code. We keep a record of which of these emails were sent to you, and the links in them pass through our own site so we can count clicks and whether the offer was used. You can turn these emails off at any time in Settings or with the unsubscribe link in every one.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on Clerk for authentication, Stripe for billing, and Vercel/Neon for hosting and database storage. Each processes data on our behalf under their own privacy and security practices.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication, session management, and remembering your preferences, plus a first-party cookie recording how you arrived at our site (e.g. which link or search brought you here). This is never shared with a third party. With your consent, given via the cookie banner shown on your first visit, we also use advertising cookies from Google, LinkedIn, and Reddit to measure how our ads perform. You can change your choice anytime using "Cookie Settings" in the footer.

5. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act, the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, or the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and activity data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal and accounting obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections and access-controlled infrastructure, to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

This Service is intended for working professionals and is not directed to, or knowingly used by, children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the update.
